Productions is pleased to announce a new version of DM Albums™! The user community has provided a lot of feedback on the product over the last month, and we were excited to include as many of those requests in this release as possible. If your request was missed, it will likely be in the next release, but please don't hesitate to remind us of it!

DM FileManager™ Demo Preview Posted December 12, 2007
Productions is pleased to announce the Public Demo Preview of the DM FileManager™ Demo! DM FileManager™ is scheduled to be released publicly in early January 2008 and will provide full product overview at that time, but the public demo has been made available now as a preview to interested users.

DM Albums™: 1200 Downloads Posted December 10, 2007
DM Albums™ has been listed on the WordPress Plugin Repository for just over a week and a half, and already the plugin has over 1200 downloads (about 500 from WordPress and over 700 direct from .com)!

While the official DM Albums™ download and demo site will continue to be hosted here at .com, it now also appears in the WordPress plugin listing and search.
DM FileManager™ To Become Suite Posted November 2, 2007
DM FileManager™ is currently ready for private beta testing, and Productions has made the decision to merge our set of products into one, eliminating our plans to provide separate products.
The DM FileManager™ provides an online file management environment for your web site via a rich interface that utilizes the latest Web 2.0 technologies in order to behave similarly to other tools you're already familiar with, such as the Macintosh Finder and Windows Explorer.
DM FileManager™ now contains five fantastic products:
- DM FileManager™ is the core product, providing the means to access the other four products in additon to all the functionality to perform online file management tasks including:
- Multi-file uploading with upload progress
- Creating, renaming, and deleting files and folders
- Copy and pasting of files and folders
- Zip/unzip files and folders. Unzip works with all common compression types such as zip, tar, gz, Z, and bz2.
- File recovery from the trash
- Setup is quick and easy using a simple, three-step setup script
- Fully-functional administration tool for user, user directory-access permission, and application management utilities
- DM PhotoAlbums™ is a state-of-the-art photo sharing tool. It differs from other photo sharing tools in that it does not resize images to set sizes, but instead renders an image perfectly for the user's screen. DM PhotoAlbums™ can easily be embedded in any web page or blog, or can be viewed stand-alone.
- DM MediaPlayer™ provides the same stunning appearance that DM PhotoAlbums™ does, but plays most types of media files supported by your web browser, including audio files, most movie files, and Flash movies and files. When playing MP3 files, DM MediaPlayer™ even reads the ID3 tags that contain the track's album, artist, and cover art, and lyrics.
- DM RichText Editor™ allows seamless What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get text editing that closely mimics common word-processing programs like MS Word. We are working on providing a Safari-compatible version of the program, but the product currently only supports Firefox and Internet Explorer, on both Windows and Macintosh computers.
- DM CodeEditor™ provides a simple plain-text editor with easy shortcuts for editing HTML files.
DM Albums™ Released Posted October 25, 2007
After three months of alpha testing and two months of public beta testing, DM Albums™ has been released! The plugin will be submited to the WordPress plugin repository in the next few weeks.

DM Albums™ Public Beta Released Posted August 25, 2007
DM Albums™ is a powerful WordPress plugin based on DM PhotoAlbums™. DM Albums takes full resolution photos and automatically builds thumbnails and allows browsing of the photo album in-line with your post, meaning your visitors can view the entire photo album without leaving your post. Once you follow the simple configuration to set up and customize the look of DM Albums™ in wordpress, simply upload full-resolution photos to a directory on your web site, and link to it in your blog post - DM Albums™ will do the rest, even allowing administrator users of your blog to add captions to the Photo Album - directly through the blog post (as long as they're logged in).
Of course, you don't have to use DM Albums™ in a blog post. With just a basic understanding of HTML, You can use it on any website simply by copying and pasting a few lines of HTML into your webpage.
DM Albums™ uses AJAX to provide smooth interaction while viewing the photo album. DM Albums™ is different from other photo management applications in that it strives to provide the highest-resolution photos possible to the user. Simply upload full resolution images to your web site, point DM Albums™ at the directory they are located in, and DM Albums™ does the rest, scaling the photos to the perfect size to fit the user's screen. As if that's not good enough, it also caches that size of the photo on the server in case it needs to use that size again. The next time it needs to scale the photo, it doesn't automatically go back to the original, full-sized photo; it will find the photo in the cache that has the nearest size bigger than it needs and scales that one instead, improving performance and lightening the load on your server.
